Taber Builders has poured concrete across the Fox Valley and the west suburbs of Chicago since 1985, out of 538 Rundle Court in Batavia, Illinois. Below are the 37 towns where we have published a local guide to the work we do there: 140 pages covering stamped concrete, driveways, sidewalks, foundations and general concrete contracting.

Why the Town Actually Matters

These are not the same page with a name swapped. What fails, and what it costs to fix, genuinely changes street to street. A walk in Lisle sits under heavy canopy and never fully dries. A driveway in Oswego is settling because the subdivision fill was young when it was poured, not because the concrete was bad. A stoop in Glendale Heights is doing the visual work for a split-level entry. A patio in Elmhurst may not be reachable by a concrete truck at all.

Knowing that before we quote is the difference between a slab that lasts thirty years and one that cracks in five.

Don’t See Your Town?

We still work there. These 37 towns are where we have written up the local detail, not the limit of where our crews go. If you are anywhere in Kane, DuPage, Kendall, or the nearer parts of Cook and Will county, call 630-761-1634 and ask. The answer is usually yes.

What Doesn’t Change Anywhere We Work

The freeze-thaw cycle is the same across every town on this page, and so is our answer to it: excavate past the failed subgrade rather than pouring over it, compact a proper stone base in lifts, use an air-entrained mix, cut control joints at the correct depth on a real grid, and keep de-icing salt off new concrete through its first winter. Everything town-specific sits on top of that. Nothing replaces it.
